Goldie is back at our condo and he's loving it.  His staples were taken out and his wound is healing nicely.  Check out his photo album because I uploaded several new pictures of him at our place.  Right now, he is sleeping beside me on the couch.  He has a lot of pent up energy from being at the veterinarian's office for a week, so we take him out often and play lots of fetch.  I'm exhausted and little bit stressed, but as time goes on it will get easier.  He is such a loving dog and I'm hoping that next week I can take him to an adoption event.  Thanks again for all the comments and generous donations.  We are just past the halfway mark for the donation goal on Amazon.com

Please continue to visit and leave comments--I read them out loud to Goldie (and he pretty much looks at me like I'm crazy).    _Jon_

Glad to hear that Goldie is doing fine! One question tho: how often do you have to wash the cover of ure couch? I experienced that a white couch and dogs is a no-no...

Goldie, you totally ROCK! :o)

Hi, I just want to say that I think what you have done is incredible!!! I need help for my dog Emma. Im not asking for money, but I do need help. I just want you to help spread my website. My dog Emma aka the munchkin needs to have a balloon valvulplasty for her heart condition - pulmonic stenosis. My boyfriend is making a website for Emma, basically a website about our dogs and a donations page for Emma. The surgery will be around $2000 and we just can't afford it. We have 6 dogs and we have an extreme tab with our Vet. I am a massage therapist and he is nice enough to trade with me, he lets his employees come for massage as well to help pay off my debt. One of our dogs - jake the mastiff - had bone cancer and had to have a leg removed, went through chemo...Chloe a rott/malamute mix just had to have knee surgery @ $1100 and will have to have the other leg done this summer. Emma (the one with a bad heart) got attacked by a dog we were fostering and she almost died and it cost $600. We have just been bombarded with vet bills lately. My vet I can work with and pay chunks but the heart surgery has to be done in Colorado by the specialist. I just don't trust people here in NM. Plus I did research on line and found that the best people to even deal with her heart condition are in Colorado. I went a few weeks ago for another EKG, they decided that she is the PERFECT candidate for the surgery. Her problem is actually right IN the valve, the valve is somewhat fused together and they will do the balloon procedure and basically rip open the fused valves. Her chance of survival is 98%. I have to get her the surgery asap, her heart is still enlarging so the only thing I am only asking if you could spread my website for me. It is www.savethemunchkin.com We are still working on it right now, and it should be up tomorrow. Emma is such a special girl and I have to do EVERYTHING I can do to help her. Please let me know what you think and if you can help spread the website. If I got $1 from each person that saw the sight I could get it soon.
Thank you so much and please get back to me, I think what you are doing is absolutely wonderful. Since the research I have been doing for Emma, I have thought about creating a website for donations also...for people like me that just need a little help or need to advertise for help for their babies.
Thanks for the inspiration also,
Julie
