Good as Goldie
SaveDogs has received over 100 hits in its first two hours! So far, so good. Now, for our first animal in need...
I don't know if they get much cuter! This is my rescue dog Goldie and he is looking for his forever home! I pulled him from the South LA shelter on Friday--the day they were going to euthanize him. At first, I didn't think I could take him because I have my own American Staffordshire and I live in a condo with no backyard. I had originally called the shelter about another dog I saw on their website, only to find out that I was too late to save her.
The animal worker I spoke with begged me to look at Goldie on their website and once I did, I knew I couldn't let this little guy down. He is currently recovering at the vet from being neutered. He also had a congenital defect with his foreskin that needed fixing. Basically, his little "willy" was always exposed because the foreskin didn't attach correctly during his prenatal development. The bill for the surgery was almost $600--and that is after a rescue discount! I have paid it with money that I have in savings, but I'm also going to start accepting donations on his behalf. I'm just not sure the best way to do that yet. (E-mail me if you have suggestions!)
Goldie is a purebred American Staffordshire Terrier. He is on the smaller side and will weigh about 40lbs when I plump him up. He is full of energy and he is great with other dogs. Goldie is approximately 1.5 years old (but he looks about half that) and he loves to cuddle and give kisses! Please e-mail me if you are interested in fostering him or adopting him.
