I remember the days where I had so much time to write in my blog about animals.
I miss those days.
I receive e-mails everyday about animals in need and I feel guilty for sitting at my "office" job--too busy to help these poor dogs find homes. Ladybug should have a home by now, but I'm so busy I can't always go to adoptions. She's safe in my house, but she needs her forever home.
I'm so grateful to the small, but vocal bunch of friends who continue to read about my rescue efforts. This blog did so much for my own sanity after college. It gave me a place to write about all these crazy rescue people I've met and all the crazy dogs that I've saved.
I'm still searching for a way to reach more of the dogs in need around me...but I'm confident I'll find a way.

Hello Jon,
I hope you'll have more time to write soon, but in the mean time, to help you, I've put your link in my signature on a forum, and, I would really like to see Ladybug's picture on cuteoverload.com . 'cause she is cute, and a lot of people would see her, therefore: increased chances to make her adopted.
Hope this would work.
Be well, and, have a cute day ;-)

Hey there......
I hope Ladybug is doing well. It has been a while since I have spoken with you, Jon. I am still interested in Ladybug if we can find a way of getting her to Colorado. She would be much loved here. Anyone have any ideas?? Please let me know....
~A quick background on who I am and what I do:
I live in a small town in the rocky mountains. I started rescuing/fostering animals as soon as I moved to Colorado (at 19). I, like Jon, find the misfits (or they find me) and get them feeling better and find them forever homes. Over the last few years I have started keeping the little cuties instead of just fostering. I have 3 dogs that I have saved and they are all so special. I work in connection with our local animal shelter in finding good homes or taking the ones that are hard to place if they fit into our family. I have a 14 year old Chi with one tooth and osteoartheritis. Her name is Lil' Gum. Ruby Gup is a 5 year old Pug that weighed 45 pounds when I got her and is now down to 19 pounds and is SO happy. Durka Durka is a Min Pin/Chi mix that had never been indoors or around people and is now SO loving.
When I saw Ladybug on petfinder.com I fell in love. I know she would fit in great with our crew and would get LOTS of love from everyone.

Hi Jon. So good to hear from you. The work you do inspired me to get more involved with helping animals find there forever homes. I still do not have the heart stamina to go into the shelters but I have been helping in other ways. The link above shows a blog I started for what we are calling the PA-11.
You hang in there and remember even though you cannot do all you would like what you have done has been phenomenal.
Lets brainstorm on how to get ladybug to Jewlee in Colorado.
I will post on the Best Friends community pages to see if anyone can help in the transport.

Hi Jon! You know you are such a hero to dogs, I hope things get easier for you in the rescue-biz. I'm praying that Ladybug gets a home soon, whether it's with Jewlee or from some other kind-hearted person who wants her.
Please keep posting here, even if it's just once a month!
